Can you use stainless steel patches on aluminum tubing?
Yes! There will be no Galvanic corrosion when using stainless steel patches on aluminum, copper, or stainless steel tubing.
+ X
Should you take the stainless steel clamp off after the 20-minute set period?
No! The stainless steel clamp is part of the patch system and should never be removed
+ X
Can you use a larger patch than the tubing and just pull it down tight with the clamp?
No! You must always use the correct size patch for the tubing. Each patch is precisely the correct circumference for the corresponding size tubing. Using the wrong size patch will result in a failure.

How large of a tube can you get patch?
Patches can be custom made for almost any size tubing. Contact Jackson Industries for a quote and deliver time.

Can you use JFC solder-less bond or HVAC SUPER PRO with PATCH-RITE patches?
No! PATCH-RITE bonding gel is the only bonding material that can be used with the patches.
+ X
Why doesn’t the PATCH-RITE patch need sanding?
Bonding needs to take place only between the PATCH-RITE bonding gel and the tubing. The PATCH-RITE gel does not shrink; therefore, all that is necessary for the patch to maintain the bond is the pressure created by the cavity and the clamp.
+ X
Can the PATCH-RITE patch be used with gasoline?
Yes! The PATCH-RITE bonding gel is impervious to gasoline, diesel, oil, most automotive and industrial chemicals, bases to pH12, any acid that can be used with copper, aluminum, and stainless steel tubing, all refrigerants, PEG oils, and POE oil.
